I’ve called Jackson County home since 2005, and I’m incredibly grateful to spend my days doing what I love most—capturing the fleeting moments that families never want to forget.
As a mom to two amazing teenagers, Olivia and Brooks, I know firsthand just how quickly the years pass. Sometimes I look at this portrait and wonder where the time went. Those tiny hands, silly smiles, and big personalities seem to change overnight.
That’s exactly why I became a photographer.
Because while childhood moves fast, photographs allow us to hold onto the moments that matter most.
Whether I’m photographing a sleepy newborn, a curious baby, or a giggling toddler, my goal is always the same: to create timeless portraits that feel genuine, joyful, and unmistakably your family.
The Beginning
In 2010, Jessica Tanner Photography was born from a simple dream—to create beautiful portraits while building a life centered around family.
What started as a passion quickly became so much more. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing thousands of growing families and watching many of them return as their children reached each new milestone.
There is something incredibly special about seeing a newborn return as a smiling sitter, then a curious toddler, and later a proud big brother or sister.
Those relationships are one of the greatest gifts this career has given me.
Today, while my sessions have evolved into intentionally simplified portrait experiences, my purpose has never changed—to create meaningful images that families will treasure for generations.
